Dismantling the old cassette
Attach a tool:
Place the wheel on a flat surface.
Insert the cassette puller deep into the grooves of the locking ring (lock ring) on the outside of the cassette.
Counteract:
Place the chain whip on one of the larger pinions (e.g. the second largest or largest),
to prevent the cassette from spinning.
Loosening the locking ring:
Turn the cassette puller counterclockwise with a large wrench,
while you counter with the chain whip.
It may require some strength.
Remove cassette:
Once the locking ring is released,
you can unscrew and remove it by hand.
The individual pinions and any spacers (spacers),
can then be pulled as a package or individually by the freewheel body.
Note the order of the pinions and spacers.
